For the past few years we have incorporated a 'Laser Taskforce Project' in the local community where our annual conference is held. It makes sense to use our collective group of skilled electricians and plumbers for charity work when we are all in the same place at the same time.

Plumbers and Electricians hold working bee for Rotorua's St Chads
It was a hive of activity at St Chads Charitable Trust as builders and electricians were busy bees doing a range of maintenance work valued at $100,000. About 100 people gathered on Wednesday at St Chads to do the work free of charge. The group included plumbers and electricians of Laser Plumbing and Electrical from both Australia and New Zealand.

Goanna Park Northern Territory
Goanna Park youth camping ground is located on the Arnhem Highway, 80 kilometres east of Darwin. The site is comprised of 22 hectares of land and has a large lake utilised for water activities. There is under cover accommodation, amenities and camping facilities available. The park is utilised by Variety NT to add value to the lives of sick, disadvantaged and special needs children, by providing fun and life skills.

Laser Tour with Steve Richards
30 people in 10 vehicles from Laser Group are raising funds by driving from Adelaide to Darwin, arriving just in time for Lasers Trans-Tasman Taking it to the Top conference. The tour will be stopping overnight in Coober Pedy, Yulara (Ayres Rock Resort), Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Katherine.

Christchurch Earthquake
We were all devastated by the significant effects the September 4th 2010 earthquake had on Christchurch and the surrounding areas. Fortunately no lives were lost but the constant barrage of after shocks continually held the city and its residents on edge. Our annual conference was able to still be held in Christchurch as planned in October and it seemed the city was starting to be on the mend.

Cholmondeley
Every year the team at Cholmondeley provides short term quality care for dozens of children aged between 3 and 12 years. These children come from homes where serious pressures exist such as addiction, illness, mental health issues, financial stress, even the death of a parent.
